Day 21: The Final Result
Welcome to the last day of my challenge:
21 DAYS to learn how to draw a realistic portrait with my right hand!
Portrait drawn with my right hand
There it is! Despite some imperfections in shading mastery and line accuracy, the result is realistic! The bet is won, even if I sometimes exceeded 15 minutes per day! I am surprised by my right hand, which had never held a pencil before!
Indeed, while my hand was a novice in the matter, my brain, on the other hand, knew what it was doing!!! Thanks to this challenge, I discovered some of the sensations of a beginner: a hesitant hand, a lack of control over the stroke; but all of this was compensated for by my knowledge of drawing! I know how to draw a face, and that made the task much easier!
Conclusion: This exercise allowed me to experience firsthand some beginner difficulties, but not the "technical difficulty"!
Now, this technique is something that is learned, and in the coming weeks, I will be posting articles on:
- "How to draw an eye"
- "How to draw a mouth"
- etc.
And finally, here is the portrait drawn with my left hand:
