Today: Modeling volumes through shadows
Welcome to the 19th day of my personal challenge:
21 DAYS to learn how to draw a realistic portrait with the right hand!
Only three 15-minute sessions left to finish the portrait and complete my bet!
I'm starting to apply my values gently so as not to make a mistake.
This time I'm using a blotting paper to blend the gray values on the forehead.
I'm careful to avoid coloring the highlight areas (center of the forehead) and I try to get the smoothest gradient possible.
I keep the light areas intact and start shading the sides of the skull and the hair, which I draw by forming small curls to render the kinky texture.
The allotted time is up, and I'll resume tomorrow with the work on shadows and the mouth.
See you tomorrow!
