Today: Finishing the eyes
Welcome to the 18th day of my personal challenge:
21 DAYS to learn how to draw a realistic portrait with the right hand!
Today I continue working on the eyes, focusing now on the "realistic" effect I want to achieve.
To do this, I will work on blending the lines and accentuating the contrasts to restore the volume and the grain of the skin, using my blending stump and a lot of patience...
Step by step:
|
I start by shading the darkest areas with small hatching |
|
I accentuate the contrasts by pressing more firmly with my 2B pencil, I rework the fold of the eyelid and the eyelashes by placing my shadows to "make up" the eyes. |
I finish with very dark eyebrows and I blend by stretching my gray values to mark the "roundness" of the eye. This step is ESSENTIAL to render the satiny appearance of the skin and the finer the paper grain is (which is not the case here) the more perfect the result is!

There you go! I once again exceeded the 15 daily minutes planned but I am very happy with the result! My right hand amazes me!
See you tomorrow for the rest of the face!
